The Office of Public Information serves as liaison to various local, state, national and international media outlets.

This office is responsible for the daily posting of significant incidents that occur in our community. These "daily logs" may be found on this agency's website at www.myfcso.us

During significant events, the Public Information Officer (PIO) will work on-scene to assist media representatives in obtaining needed information and assist in allowing them access to criminal and emergency scenes as safety allows.

The public is also served through this office. Requests for copies of public records, such as accident reports and incident reports, are directed to the PIO for a response.

The PIO produces Public Service Announcements (PSAs) aimed at educating our community in crime prevention. These PSAs are issued as press releases or as video and audio recordings.

This office publishes the agency newsletter which permits each division to communication information agency-wide and to our community in a less formal setting rather than press releases.

The PIO also heads up special projects and assists with registration for the Women's Self Defense Course.

Groups or clubs can tap into the agency's Speakers Bureau by contacting the PIO. The Sheriff's Office has speakers who are available to discuss a variety of topics for our local civic and service organizations.
