As we turn the page on the calendar, we see that 2011 is once again confronted with many of the economic challenges we had to work through in the previous year. But with the same energy and drive and concerted effort by all the member of this Agency, we will persevere; we will face those challenges and will continue to provide quality, professional law enforcement to the residents and businesses of Flagler County.

The FCSO Community Service Program has continued increasing the numbers of established Neighborhood Watches throughout the community. This program brings neighbors together for a proactive approach to crime fighting and prevention. Whether on the radio, in the newspaper or our website, we continually strive to inform the citizens of not only ways to protect their homes and property, but to alert them of any pending hazards or threats.

Two sessions of our Citizen Academy were held in 2010 that consisted of twelve 3-hour classes, providing an insight of the internal workings of your Sheriff’s Office. These classes, which are open to the public, will be held again this year.

Another program open to the public that we will continue to offer in 2011, is the Women’s Self Defense course. In 2010, twelve sessions were held, each consisting of three 2-hour classes, with approximately 150 graduating.

Every move we make, every new program we create is for the betterment and safety for the citizens of Flagler County and the members of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. New training and innovative programs are ongoing; making our members both highly skilled and qualified to serve our community with honor.

As we move forward our major goal is and always will be, to continue FCSO’s quest in providing quality service to the citizens and business owners of Flagler County.

We thank our community for all that you have done in support of your Sheriff’s Office. We as an Agency are a TEAM, which you can be proud of, making all things possible and together we can make a difference.
