To the Citizens of Flagler County

To the Citizens of Flagler County
This past year has brought on tremendous economic challenges to you, the citizens of Flagler County, and your Sheriff’s Office. We have faced those challenges through a concerted effort by all the members of this Agency through maximizing the use of all our resources, while continuing to provide quality, professional law enforcement to the County. Always remaining in the forefront is “how can we improve” to better serve you, the citizens.
Through the efforts of the FCSO Community Service Program, we have seen an increase of established Neighborhood Watches throughout the community; bringing our neighborhoods together for a proactive approach to crime fighting and prevention. Whether on the radio, in the newspaper or our website, we continually strive to inform the citizens of not only ways to protect their homes and property, but to alert them of any pending hazards or threats.
Along those same lines, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has continued to provide a Women’s Self Defense course, at no charge. In 2009, 16 classes were held, resulting in 190 graduates, with exceptionally positive response from the attendees.
The Citizen Academy, also provided by the FCSO, continues into 2010, with four sessions to be scheduled. The course consists of twelve 3-hour classes giving an insight of the internal workings of your Sheriff’s office.
Every move we make, every new program we create is for the betterment and safety for the citizens of Flagler County and the members of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. New training and innovative programs are ongoing; making our members both highly skilled and qualified to serve our community with honor.
As we move forward our major goal is and always will be, to continue FCSO’s quest in providing quality service to the citizens and business owners of Flagler County.
We thank our community for all that you have done in support of your Sheriff’s Office. We as an Agency are a TEAM, which you can be proud of, making all things possible and together we can make a difference.
