Position: Corrections Deputy/Officer
Salary: $33,012.00 Annually

 

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be at least 19 years of age and a citizen of the United States.
  • Applicants must possess a High School diploma or GED. College degree preferred.
  • Applicants must not have been convicted of any felony or misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement; (see application)
  • Applicants must not have received a dishonorable or undesirable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States;
  • Applicants must have a valid Florida Driver’s License  
  • Applicants must have graduated from a Florida Criminal Justice Academy with certification in Basic Correctional Officer Training or currently enrolled to start the applications process, and successfully pass the state exam
  • Candidates must successfully pass a background investigation
  • Candidates must successfully pass a drug screen test
  • Candidates must successfully pass a physical examination
  • Candidates must successfully pass a psychological evaluation
  • Candidates must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts
  • Candidates must be able to work any hour or day as needed (shift work, holidays and weekends).
