Position: Deputy Sheriff

Salary: $33,012.00 annually

 

Qualifications:

- Applicants must be at least 19 years of age and be a citizen of the United States;

- must possess a High School Diploma or GED; College degree preferred;

- must not have been convicted of any felony or misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement; (see application)

- must not have received a dishonorable or undesirable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States;

- must have a valid Florida Driver's License;

- must have graduated from a Florida Criminal Justice Academy with certification in Law Enforcement or currently enrolled to start the applications process, and successfully pass the state exam;

- must successfully pass a background investigation;

- must successfully pass a drug screen test;

- must successfully pass a physical examination;

- must successfully pass a psychological examination;

- must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts;

- must be able to work any hour or day as needed (shift work, holidays and weekends).
