The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is offering to retired certified law enforcement officers an opportunity to qualify under HR 218.
***Donations will be accepted to offset costs as there is no fee for attending a scheduled session***
Interested Retirees must e-mail Lt. Greg Weston at training@myfcso.us or call 386-586-4855 to reserve a position.
Space is limited and is on a first come first serve basis.

Qualification sessions for retired law enforcement deputies and officers will be held at the F.C.S.O. Firearms Range
RANGE LOCATION & DIRECTIONS TO FACILITY
(1290 County Road 90 East, Bunnell, FL 32110 - Flagler Gun Club - Action Pistol Range)
Retirees wishing to participate must contact Lt. Greg Weston to schedule an appointment. Qualifications will be conducted by F.C.S.O.’s certified C.J.S.T.C. Firearms Instructors.
Retired law enforcement officers who wish to participate must have:
- Photo Identification showing proof as a Florida Resident
- Photo Identification issued by the agency from which the individual retired from service as a law enforcement officer
- HR 218 Retired Officer Request for Firearms Registration Packet must be completed
- Please do not sign the forms as they will be notarized at the rnage by an instructor when you arrive.
- Firearm, ammunition (50 rounds minimum) and holster must be provided by the participant.
- Eye and ear protection will be provided
- Must meet the FCSO current standards for qualifications, which require the employee to regularly qualify in the use of a firearm
- Use ammunition and firearms in the following calibres: 25/32/38/357, 9mm, 40 and 45 are permitted
- F.C.S.O. Firearms Instructors conducting the qualification will have the final discretionary authority to disqualify firearms or person(s) based on safety concerns.
- Participants will only be allowed two attempts to qualify
- All F.D.L.E. & C.J.S.T.C. and F.C.S.O. Rules apply and will be strictly adhered to.
Based on the mandatory requirements under HR 218, we strongly encourage those who are interested in participating and qualifying under the color of the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, carefully review both HR 218 in its entirety to ensure that they meet all the necessary criteria and documentation required under the law.

Those retirees that are unable to attend a scheduled free qualification may request an appointment to complete the required qualification by scheduling an appointment. To request an appointment, please contact Lt. Greg Weston at training@myfcso.us or call 386-586-4855.
There will be a $75.00 Fee (non-refundable) due prior to completion of the Qualification.
