The Sheriff's Office Human Resources Division initially screens the applications of those seeking employment with the agency for any disqualifiers. The application is then sent to the agency's Accountability and Integrity Unit where a thorough background investigation to include criminal, Military, education, and credit records are checked. After completing a background check, the applicant will undergo a pre-employment physical and psychological assessment, drug screen and an interview with a panel of command staff personnel. The Sheriff has the final decision on all employment matters.
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office takes pride in hiring highly qualified candidates who display superior integrity.
