Patrol Section

The operations division is the largest division within the Sheriff’s Office. It is made up of uniformed deputies who are assigned to such areas as patrol, special operations, judicial services, civil process, school resource, traffic enforcement and training. The division is under the command of Major Steve Clair.
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to providing full-time law enforcement services to the city of Palm Coast, and all unincorporated areas of Flagler County. The patrol section is the backbone of the agency and is the most visible section at the Sheriff's Office. It is comprised of (4) four squads each under the supervision of a watch commander holding the rank of lieutenant.
The squads are Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta and they each work 12 hour shifts to ensure maximum coverage of the county. The individual squads are made up of a patrol sergeant, (2) two district supervisors and zone deputies. The county is divided into two patrol districts which contain individual zones staffed by deputies.
The zone deputies handle the majority of the calls for service that the Sheriff's Office responds to each year. These deputies are specially trained and equipped with cutting edge technology allowing them to handle all situations which may affect our community. The Sheriff's Office prides itself on providing our citizens with the highest level of law enforcement services.
