The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest following an investigation into a bomb threat made towards Buddy Taylor Middle School (BTMS) on Friday, May 17.
This morning, May 17, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU), along with the Problem Area Crime Enforcement (PACE) team and the SWAT team, served a search warrant at 24-A Pine Hurst Lane in Palm Coast.

Last night on May 9 at approximately 10 p.m., the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Palm Coast man at his residence on Bronson Lane. He is accused of creating a pipe bomb that exploded outside a home on Poppy Lane in January 2022.
Three exceptional students who attend Flagler Schools received Sheriff Rick Staly’s “Great Kid Award.” Commander Jennifer Nawrocki of the Youth Services Section presented the first award at Wadsworth Elementary School on Thursday, May 2. Chief of Investigative Services Division, David Williams presented awards at Buddy Taylor Middle School and Matanzas High School on Monday, May 8.
